Connecting the campus with 20 speakers, campus radio is established with the following objectives, which will be managed totally by students.

  1. To provide a platform to the students to demonstrate their creativity.
  2. To build an edutainment environment, thereby diversifying teaching and learning strategies.
  3. To inculcate management skills by making them the managers of campus radio activities.

Time schedule:
Morning: 09.00 to 9:30 am News updates in English and telugu and birth day greetings
Afternoon: 12:45 to 1:15 pm tell a tip, dedicate a song
Evening: 4:30 to 5:00 pm. Departments’ specials

PJTSAU vaari Chenukaburlu (Flagship programme for development of student communication with masses)

Chenukaburlu BannerPJTSAU vaari Chenukaburlu ( PJTSAU’s Farm information) is an innovative ICT programme, involving students of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Home Science to disseminate technological information to rural families through All India Radio (AIR ). It has a noble intention of linking the innovations to the farming community of Telangana, utilizing the students’ creativity. Chenu Kaburlu plays a dual role.
Firstly it upgrades students’ knowledge on the subject, enhances their communication-skill, builds confidence, inculcates commitment towards interaction with clientele.

Secondly, the farming community of the State is updated with the latest farming techniques and developments.

The following are the objectives of the programme

  • To provide an opportunity to the student community to exhibit their creativity
  • To encourage the students for generation of innovative ideas in transfer of technology through radio communication
  • To provide the students the real life situations of farming community on one hand and furnish them with latest developments in the field of agriculture and allied sectors on the other hand.
  • To benefit the farming with technological information

Audio theatre established in Vistarana Studio,  College of Home Science, Hyderabad with funds received under RKVY as a part of project ICT mediated extension services for dissemination of quality life technologies is being used for recording and editing of radio programmes. A slot of 30 minutes of duration on every Wednesday between 1.30-2.00 pm was booked with All India Radion  on commercial basis. The programme was inaugurated by Honbl’e C.M. Sri. K. Chandrasekhar Rao on 26th January 2015, with the release of Signature tune, exclusively developed for the programme for brand image. On 26th January from 1.20 to 1.30 PM curtain raiser was broadcasted to introduce the programme to the audience. From 28th January 2015 onwards, uninterruptedly on every Wednesday Home Science and Agricultural technologies are getting broadcasted.
