“Guru is verily the representative of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. He creates, sustains knowledge and destroys the weeds of ignorance. I salute such a Guru.”
Teachers’ Day is celebrated as a tribute to the valuable contribution made by teachers to the society by imparting knowledge and enlightening and shaping the career of students. In India, teacher’s day is celebrated on 5th of September every year. Indian Teacher’s Day is dedicated to Dr. SarvepalliRadhakrishnan, who was a zealous advocate of education and one of the greatest scholars and teachers of all times, apart from being the first Vice President and the second President of India. As a mark of respect to this phenomenal teacher, his birthday came to be observed as Teacher’s Day in the country.
In college of Home science, Saifabad PJTSAU celebration of teacher’s day on 3rd September rather on 5th September because the college was closed as it was public holiday for ganesha Chaturthi. The preparation for the event was made in advance by the students. By having celebrations on Teacher’s Day, we convey the message that we care for our teachers, just as they do.Dance, music, and skit made the day explicable. The students took great effort and ensured that teachers enjoy every minute.
Teacher’s Day is the best occasion to extend our sincere gratitude to all the teachers, for not only teaching the students but being their true mentors and role models. There is no doubt about the fact that it takes an incredible amount of dedication, knowledge and patience to teach a class, full of present day students, who are sharp, inquisitive and real go getters and that type of responsibility and commitment, makes these teachers real heroes on a daily basis,”
